Disqualified person

In relation to superannuation, this is an individual who is prohibited from acting as a trustee, investment manager or custodian of a superannuation fund, or as a responsible officer of company that is the trustee of a superannuation fund. Disqualified individuals include anyone ever convicted of an offence involving dishonesty, subject to a civil order under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act, or an undischarged bankrupt. Under certain circumstances, companies can also be disqualified from acting as trustees of superannuation funds.
