Preserved benefits

Amount of superannuation savings that must be kept in a superannuation fund, ADF or RSA until a member permanently retires upon reaching the preservation age. All contributions and fund earnings from July 1,1999 must be preserved. However, preserved benefits can be paid out earlier upon death, disability or after gaining APRA or fund trustee approval.
