Melbourne, 13 June, 2008 - Vanguard Investments Australia (Vanguard) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Yves Didier to the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Mr Didier joins Vanguard from the Melbourne headquarters of AXA Asia Pacific, where he led finance teams throughout the region. His previous roles included responsibility for regional reporting, planning & budgeting, corporate finance & treasury, and head of finance for distribution, product & marketing in Australia.
Jeremy Duffield, Managing Director, Vanguard Investments Australia said: "Jean-Yves brings a vast amount of experience and capability to this important role. A highly capable and well-resourced financial function is vital to support Vanguard's growth, and so we welcome Jean-Yves to his new role with us."
Mr Didier has extensive experience in the distribution and manufacture of financial products as well as in-depth understanding of the financial planning and wider financial services industries.
As Chief Financial Officer, Mr Didier's role will also encompass Vanguard's corporate strategy.
Mr Didier said: "Vanguard has been tremendously successful in Australia in the past 10 years and I join as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in Australia and further expansion in Asia. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that my appointment to Vanguard will bring."
Mr Didier is an alumnus of The Wharton Business School and the Paris Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales.
