Melbourne, 15 October, 2007 - Vanguard Investments Australia (Vanguard) today announced the appointment of Brett Mennie to the position of National Sales Manager - Adviser Sales.
Based in Vanguard's Melbourne office, Mr Mennie brings over 20 years' experience in funds management and financial services to the role. He will report to Terry Williams, Vanguard's Head of Retail Sales and Strategy.
Mr Mennie's most recent position was State Manager for AXA Financial Advice Network, responsible for a network of 300 financial advisers across three AXA dealer group businesses. In this role he was also responsible for recruiting new adviser firms, providing training, compliance and business planning assistance.
Immediately prior to this position, Mr Mennie was with Perpetual Investments for 12 years. He began his career with Perpetual as a Business Development Manager in Victoria and Tasmania and later took on both state and national responsibilities for seven years, during which time he built up a strong sales team from the ground up.
Mr Williams commented, "We are very pleased to attract someone of Brett's calibre and experience to this important role at Vanguard. Brett brings classic funds management BDM and sales manager experience. He will play a pivotal role in driving business development activities through a dedicated focus on supporting financial advisers."
