Vanguard has recently launched some new calculators developed in association with Rice Warner which allow you to compare the cost of Vanguard ETFs and managed funds against other managers’ funds.
Vanguard's new ETF calculator and Managed Funds fee calculator demonstrate how fees can impact your investment balance over time. For example, a one per cent difference in total annual fees and costs (i.e. 2 per cent rather than 1 per cent) could reduce your final return by up to 20 per cent over a 30 year period.
These calculators provide an easy way to compare other funds against Vanguard's low cost managed funds and ETFs demonstrating how much money you could potentially save by investing client’s money in lower cost funds.
