Restricted non-preserved benefits

These superannuation savings are not preserved in the superannuation system until permanent retirement upon reaching the so-called preservation age. But these benefits cannot be cashed-in by a member until satisfying a condition of release. In broad terms for employees, these benefits can be paid upon the termination of employment with an employer that has contributed to the fund. (See Preservation age and Preserved benefits)
