New Vanguard property ETF trades on the ASX 15 Oct 10
Melbourne, 15 October 2010 - The Vanguard® Australian Property Securities Index ETF (VAP) today officially quoted for trading on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
The Vanguard® Australian Property Securities Index ETF (VAP) joins the Vanguard® Australian Shares Index ETF (VAS), the Vanguard® All-World ex-US Shares Index ETF (VEU) and the Vanguard® US Total Market Shares Index ETF (VTS), providing investors a low cost, diversified investment across major asset classes.
“With the launch of the VAP ETF today, investors now have the ability to buy a portfolio of Australian listed property securities in a single ASX transaction. Vanguard ETF’s are flexible, low cost investment vehicles that continue to grow in popularity as investors, advisers and institutions realise their benefits,” said Robyn Laidlaw, Vanguard’s ETF Product Manager.
Announced earlier this week, the Vanguard Australian Property Securities Index ETF seeks to track the S&P/ASX 300 A-REIT Index.
It is the lowest cost property ETF currently available for Australian investors at 0.34 per cent p.a.
