Carole Okigbo is the Head of Investment Strategy Group, Asia-Pacific.

In this role, she oversees teams focused across various research disciplines including economics/capital markets, retirement, and portfolio construction. Carole is also a member of the Investment Strategy Group’s global leadership team. Previously, Carole was a senior strategist and chief of staff to Greg Davis, Vanguard’s chief investment officer and served as strategic thought partner, helping drive strategic direction and prioritization across the investment management division.

Before Vanguard, Carole worked as a senior investment team member in the private equity group of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), responsible for executing, monitoring, and exiting buy-side investments in the financial institutions and infrastructure sectors in Africa and Latin America. Prior to joining IFC, Carole worked on the sell-side as an associate in Standard Bank’s Investment Banking Division focusing on emerging markets mergers and acquisitions. She began her career as an analyst in Citigroup and Savvian Advisors’ investment banking divisions in New York and San Francisco.

Carole holds both a BSc in Economics (Hons) and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
