In this role, Jean leads a team of portfolio managers and traders focused on Vanguard's internally managed fixed income funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs). He manages A$100 billion of assets directly in this region and, as a member of Vanguard Australia's Investment Management Leadership Team and Vanguard Group's Global Bond Index Leadership Team, oversees the investment of over A$1.8 trillion of assets in more than forty markets globally. Jean is also a member of Vanguard Australia's Investment Risk Council.
Before joining Vanguard, Jean was a Director at HSBC, where he spent over ten years in various Finance, Treasury, and Fixed Income roles across Paris, Dubai, London, and Sydney. He joined HSBC as a graduate on their International Manager program.
Jean earned his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University. He is a CFA® Charterholder and member of the CFA Society Melbourne.
