
In this role, Sara is responsible for analysing and influencing the public policy and regulatory environment affecting Vanguard’s Australian business in the retail managed investments, superannuation and advice sectors.
Prior to commencing at Vanguard in 2018, Sara was Senior Policy Manager (Investments and Superannuation) at the Financial Services Council for over four years where she influenced policies affecting Australia’s largest fund managers and superannuation funds. Sara also played a key role in the development of industry standards including the Asset Managers Stewardship Code, Performance Analytics and ESG standards, as well as industry best practice in funds management and ETFs.
Sara began her career in Canberra, where she worked for both the Department of Finance and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in various roles. Sara holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance) from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Public Policy (International Policy) from the Australian National University. She also attended Boston University School of Management focussing on Corporate Finance.
